The Misanthrope is headed back to Old Blighty next week for three days in order to attend "Hedgestock," a networking conference for hedge fund managers. The event is kind of a two-day picnic/party with the hedge fund equivalent of speed-dating: 15 minute meetings with various groups to make introductions and get to know people.
Now, the Misanthrope is not too keen on large, unstructured social events, but he is psyched for this one because of the evening's entertainment.
The Who.
I am not making this up.
I look forward to Daltrey's thoughts on manager alpha for convert arb strategies in a world were the margins have been squeezed by an explosion of funds.

I believe that comes from an old home organ that had a primitive sequencing feature. If you hold a C in the left hand, it will arpeggiate a C major chord.
that's insane. my company threw us a big party last fall at the fillmore in SF, with modest mouse as the entertainment. but i don't think that really compares to the who.
i hope they put on a better show than mm did. although it was entertaining, in a car wreck sorta way.
How do I get a job working for you guys!
Some news on The Who over at my blog you're certain to like...

This is why you have to own your own business.
It's really more like "The Who on Ice" at this point, but it is still a pleasure to see Townshend. I don't think Zak Starkey is playing with them anymore, however, which is a shame because I thought he came closest to a Moon-like style for the band.
