All in all, a good result for this stage. We are very pleased.

MagDog Update
Maggie went in for her third chemo session yesterday and we got a bit of good news. The echocardiagram showed that the tumor has not grown since the last session. This is a very good sign in fibrosarcoma, which tends to grow very rapidly. Another piece of good news was that her blood chemistry remained normal following the use of carboplatin, the new drug she got last time. As a result, we were able to increase the dosage for that drug in this round, which should be helpful. Having stabilized the disease somewhat, the next goal is to start shrinking the tumor. The vet is investigating what might be available to us in terms of radiation therapy as that would give us a huge boost in reducing the tumor.

That is good news!
No progress yet on our own quest for a WMD of our own. The rescue people are freakin' Nazi's about who they adopt their dogs out to. Mrs. Alva and I are about tired of their over the top scrutiny. We're commited to taking a rescue vs actually buying a dog (I can't bare the thought given so many WMD's in need of a home), but these people are worse than applying for a job with the FBI.
You can't leave those Nazareth records around when these people come to visit. I'm surprised Child Protective Services hasn't come after you for having that stuff near a defenseless little girl.
NEWS FLASH!!! The Mrs. called me while on my way in this morning and said when she went out to the website, Molly had a note in her profile that read "Adoption Pending". Mrs. Alva picked up the phone to call and give the lady a piece of her mind for passing on us, and before she could the women asked if she could bring Molly down for an in-home visit this weekend! This rescue office is a hallva long way from us, so we're hoping she likes us enough to just leave Molly with us. Mrs. Alva is beside herself with the thought of having a friend to hang with while my future West Point grad and Army aviator is doing the kindergarten thing.
I'll post a photo at my place if it all goes right, and yes, the Nazareth and Iron Maiden records will be shoved behind the couch.
Wish us luck!
