Anybody interested in going to this on Sunday?
Let's go and enjoy a beautiful day!
UPDATE: Mike I stepped up and went to the Shad festival with me and boy did it pay off! We learned about Shad, ate some delicious pickled Shad, watched Native American dancing and then Mike got over-involved in a Little League game and ended up in fist fight with two 12-year-olds.

Mr. Hand: Just what do you think you're doing?!
Spicolli: Eating some fish, learning about Indians...
I was serious. I am going to eat some tasty shad. Whether or not you shad haters come is another question entirely.
As a fellow Nutmegger I can say there's nothing funny about shad.
"The Shad Shack" in my town was something of a tourist attraction, although it was never open and I never saw any tourists there.
I radiotagged shad smolts as part of a summer job many years ago. The power company in CT spends a lot of money making sure the shad get up and down the River.
If it weren't for the shad we'd haev had no one to steal the land from.
Dave, I'll meet you at 1.
I wish I was going to be around - I can chow some shad....
Chris -
Great. I'm psyched.
Hey, those guys got a SWEET casino near Rhode Island, so no bellyaching!
While the shad was tasty, the festival was a little bit of a downer. They only gave small samples of shad of which we got the last two, so Dave and I ended up paying $5 for samosas you can get for $2.75 on Curry Row. (My advice - bring more shad and sell it.) But it was fascinating to see that part of New York.
As far as the fight---I beat kids. I'm sorry.
