First of all, I erred when I said the Rock Calendar starts on Zeptember 1st. It actually starts on Rocktober 1st.

You have to credit John for more than help. When he named August AuGWAR many (Keith) moons ago, he got this project rolling.

Okay, Rock Calendar Nazi Droid
OK, I've heard Zep-tember and Rock-tober on the radio before. And, believe it or not, Mayden came up in a conversation once about 15 years ago.
But I have NEVER heard Marchers of Loaf as a monthly promotion before. If I ever do, that station has me tuned in for 31 days!
Mikedot: Give the M some credit--there's not much to work with in January! It's either his Steely Janaury pick ... or Jan-and-Dean-uary, which is worse.
In metal, the best I can come up with is Jan-thrax-uary. And that doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

Too bad about January. Steely January works best, but as it's been noted, doesn't fit the Rock Standard, so Jan and Deanuary, and Jan Hamuary, clearly won't work. Aimee Manuary? Canuary? Allman Brothers Banuary? Steeleye Spanuary? Spam, spam, eggs and spamuary?
